We get asked this question very often...
At least once a week, Smash is host to a songwriter "slam", a day-long session that gathers writers with just a song or two to demo with others in a similar situation. By pooling together their songs, the writers can get a full band demo done for a single song at the price of a multi-song session. Typically, all of the songs would be tracked in the morning and afternoon, with vocals scheduled in the evening or following day.
